The Unseen

"I made the video in a park in Amsterdam because the parks are the favourite place for Pieter to be in the city. Here he feels close to nature and enjoys the smells, the sounds, the birds and the change of the seasons. He knows a lot of bird names and always tries to learn new ones. The park is also the place where Pieter meets different interesting people and starts new contacts. In the video I am using the natural sounds in the park to give the viewers the opportunity to experience what Pieter could hear. Also by manipulating the images of the park environment (water, trees, reflections, birds) and changing them in almost abstract forms I want to come closer to Pieter’s way of seeing.
