Summary

Blind people develop a more intensive sensory perception than sighted people. For example, the sense of hearing, the sense of smell and the sense of touch are more pronounced, in order to „see“ their environment and move within it. „Sabina“ is an attempt to trap the protagonist´s sense of touch and make it visible. Sabine is reading with her hands, touching things in her surroundings and rearranging them. Effectively, the white stick is an elongation of her hand, it helps her recognizing things in front of her. The video camera is coming along with every movement of her hand and all the things around perceived by her hands. Sabine´s voice-over is accompanying the images. Sabine is describing the smell of colours and her very personal sentiments at her favourit spot.

The protagonist:
Sabina is 23. Currently she is studying special education, becoming a teacher for disabled persons and persons with learning disabilities. Sabine was born blind and can only recognize certain colours and shapes. Together with her blind boyfriend she lives in Barcelona.
